I discovered Napoleon Perdis Make-Up Academy in Hollywood in 2008. After taking a tour of the Academy I was inspired to combine my passion for art and creativity by pursuing a career as a make-up artist. After taking the course, I realized this was the career path for me. I worked for the academy for about 2 years as a freelance make-up artist, expanding my knowledge of the makeup industry by working on fashion shows, including the New York and LA Fashion Week, as well as several red carpet events and celebrity makeovers. Through persistence, I interviewed and was hired as a trainer/coordinator at the academy in 2010. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to work side by side with Napoleon Perdis, as well as, to pass on my makeup knowledge to future makeup artists. I have been given opportunities to see how everything runs behind the scenes at fashion shows and marketing campaigns. My day-to-day duties are forever changing, however, they are always interesting. It is enlightening to see so many current and past students' faces light up when they complete our program and put that training towards an actual makeup artist position in the real world. I have been part of the Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics family for one and a half years. I started my career in the summer of 2010 in San Francisco, CA, servicing the concept store and numerous ULTA stores throughout the bay area. In 201,1 I moved to Los Angeles to work at our Hollywood Flagship Store as a full time Retail Artist. Working closely with the US Academy and Creative team, I have had the wonderful opportunity to work in numerous events with celebrities, social networks, as well as LA Fashion Week. My greatest accomplishment so far has been working side by side with Napoleon Perdis and Rebecca Prior for our QVC debut. My dream came true when I applied for an open position in the US Makeup Academy for an Academy Trainer position, I am currently a makeup artist in transition to become a Napoleon Perdis trainer. I love being part of Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics and being recognized for the skills that I bring to the team.
