What are three products you cannot live without?

I absolutely love the Napoleon Perdis Complex Renewal Serum, which helps my skin retain a youthful and beautiful glow. I also love the Pro Palette Concealer and I use Camera Finish to even out my skin tone throughout the day.

What is one product you swear by?

I'm a huge fan of The One Concealer. I love using this product because it's creamy and easy to blend. The peachy, apricot color totally cancels out any blue undertone.

How would you describe your beauty style?

Glowy but natural and just a bit rock n'roll! Who says men can't wear makeup? I cannot leave my house without wearing China Doll Gel Eyeliner Earth, just to give me a bit of edge.

Do you have a beauty tip?

Men should try using our Auto Pilot primer after a morning shave as a soothing emollient. It contains chamomile which calms and reduces redness post shave.

What kind of makeup pairs best with a casual beach wedding? We prefer a bronzed, sun-kissed look! Use our Mosaic Bronzer and more to exude the luminous glow of a beaming beach bride.

1) Skin 

Prep the skin first with our Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer. Use Advanced Mineral Foundation to create a base and conceal around the eyes. Conceal any additional areas of discoloration with Mighty Concealer Pen Cream Coffee. Apply our Camera Finish Powder Foundation to set the base.

2) Eyes 

Start with our Mesmer-Eyes Mascara on the lashes to provide a road map for your look. Smudge Eye Pencil Brown Sugar along the outer corners of the top and bottom lash line. Blend evenly to a wedge shape along the top to give the eye lift and add depth for the eyeshadow application. Pat Color Disc Green Living softly over the pencil and work into the outer corners of the socket and along the bottom lash line. 

Next, take our Color Disc Orange Zest and blend over the mobile lid, then sweep Mosaic Bronzing Powder through the socket and again along the lower lash line to contour. For added sheen, add a touch of Loose Eye Dust Honey Child to the centre of the lid. Use Color Disc Angel Dust under the brow to highlight and finish by lining the waterline with Eye Pencil Gold Standard. Don’t forget to groom and fill in your brows as needed.

3) Cheeks

Contour under the cheekbones using our Mosaic Bronzing Powder and highlight using Color Disc Angel Dust. Dust our Mosaic Flushing Powder on the apples of the cheeks.

4) Lips

For an understated pretty lip color, pat Mattetastic Lipstick Ava across the lips and add a touch of Lip Lacquer Shameless Nude. Finish by lining the lip with our Lip Pencil Nude Awakening to lock in that color.

5) Finishing Touches

Add another coat of Mesmer-Eyes Mascara as well as some individual lashes to fill out the eyes....voila, done!

What is one product you swear by?

Easy! Boudoir Mist! It's so easy and fast and looks amazing. Whenever I wear it, my boyfriend always says, "Babe, I love it when you don't wear any makeup."

How would you describe your beauty style?

It changes from day to day, but overall I go for a hip, downtown vibe. I like to wear a bold lip or a colorful eye, but never both at the same time -- it's always one or the other. I also really like to do a monochromatic look, so I'll use just one smokey color on the eye but fade it out, sometimes with just a little bit of blush, to get the right effect.

Do you have a beauty tip?

I have so many! Napoleon has shared this before, but I swear that adding a soft wash of China Doll Gel Eyeliner in Alabaster or White On Eyeliner to the water line brightens the eyes immediately. I also use two brow colors -- one that's two shades lighter than my natural color and one that matches my natural color -- to get a 3D effect on the brows. I use the lighter color to line the brow and the darker color in the arch to really add depth to the arch.

The name may sound familiar because Lydia is the grand-daughter of American publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst and daughter of actress Patty Hearst. Discovered by fashion photographer Stephen Meisel in 2004, Lydia's lovely features shot to fame after posing for the cover for Italian Vogue. She has since modeled for Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, GQ, and Elle as well as famous designers like Louis Vuitton, Moschino, Prada, and DKNY.

The elegant yet easygoing supermodel was all smiles during the NYLON video shoot. Her request? A light and simple beauty look! GET THE LOOK!

1) Skin

Prep the skin with Napoleon Complex Skin Renewal Serum and Auto Pilot Lip Service. Then smooth on Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer. Hydrate and even out the skin tone with Sheer Genius. Next, use The Mighty Concealer Pen around the eyes and to correct any other problem spots. Set with a light dusting of Camera Finish.

2) Eyes

For the ultimate eye-opener, curl lashes and apply Magnif-Eyes Mascara. Sweep Color Disc Amazon Jungle through the socket of the eye to create warmth and depth. Mark a point at the outer corner of the eye towards the end of the brow with Neo Noir Liquid Liner. This will be a guideline to create the perfect winged liner. Next, line the top lash line with Neo Noir Liquid Liner, extending the liner out to meet the mark you just made. Finally, line the outer corner of the lower water line with Eye Pencil Onyx Factor and smudge into the bottom lash line. This frames only the outer corners of the eye.

3) Cheeks

Sweep Camera Finish N5 Topaz underneath the cheekbones and onto the temples for Couture Contours. Apply Mosaic Flushing to the apples of the cheeks.

4) Lips

Hydrate the lips with Auto Pilot Lip Service.  Then remove the Auto Pilot Lip Service and pat the Mighty Concealer Pen over the lips to create a clean lip base. Line the entire lip with Lip Pencil Haute Pink.

5) Finishing Touches

Groom and define the brows with a touch of Eyebrow Pencil Pale Rider.

Growing up in the Parramatta area of Sydney in a traditionally Greek household, Napoleon’s talent for color and style was evident at a young age. His mother took note and encouraged her son: “She believed in me and let me do her makeup from about the age of 13.”

The brothers and business partners agree that their Greek roots have everything to do with it. Emanuel says, “Our Greekness is a very big part of our success…Greeks are fundamentally obsessed with quality.”

Dressed in a floral Dolce & Gabbana gown, the fair skinned redhead turned up looking fresh as a rose. The Aussie actress made her features pop with a dramatic but classy winged eyeliner, and of course we love the color explosion on her lips, which totally worked with her floral D&G gown.

Step 1 - Disinfect brushes after every use. Simply spray a flat tissue with our Brush Cleaner and swipe the brush back and forth across the tissue several times.

Step 2 - Deep clean brushes with shampoo and conditioner every two to four weeks. Wet your brush with warm water and massage a small dollop of shampoo into the bristles. Rinse thoroughly and then work just a bit of conditioner through the brush and rinse again.

Step 3 - Whether you're disinfecting or deep cleaning, makeup brushes need plenty of air circulation to dry well. Lay the hair end of clean makeup brushes over the edge of a table, counter or bench and let them air dry.

I like to switch up my eyes and lips so you'll usually find at least one China Doll Gel Eyeliner or DéVine Goddess Lipstick in there as well.

It's so hard to pick just three! If I HAD to choose I would pick Sheer Genius Foundation, Magnif-Eyes Mascara and The Ultimate Contour Palette.

I'm always telling editors that they must try The Ultimate Contour Palette. It makes contouring foolproof and it's convenient for touch-ups on the go. 

How would you describe your beauty style?

I like to tailor my look to the occasion and what I'm wearing. During the week I typically stick to Napoleon's Pretty Preppy look with a touch of Neo Noir Liquid Eyeliner and a bold pink lip, but on the weekend you can find me sporting anything from a natural look during the day to a combination of smoky eyes, cat eyes with colored liner or glitter (or all of the above!) for a night out on the town. 

Do you have a beauty tip?

If you have light eyes, don't think that you need to pile on eye makeup to bring them out. A bold fuchsia, red, orange or coral lip can really make eyes pop with minimal shadow and liner. Just be sure to use plenty of mascara for definition.

Filled with colorful candles and other objets d’art from our LifeStyle line, the Perdis’s Double Bay home base might have the class and elegance of a museum, but also offers warm touches of home and more importantly, family. The strong bonds of family was a recurring theme of the conversation.

The doting husband and dad says of this trip down under: “I’ve got my family here this time – that’s good, because I do miss them terribly.” He adds of his daughters and wife, “Of course they’re my muses.”

Napoleon’s thoughts on Mother’s Day echo what many women are dying to hear: “You have to think of Mummy all year.” He also scores points toward the “best son” award, calling his own mother almost daily. 

Turning to his own ambitions, the wonder from Down Under likes to keep things in perspective regarding his success: “For an Australian brand, I’m doing really well in America,” and explained that it’s all about his love for the job. “I love connecting with people…my consumers are amazing, they drive me and inspire me.”

The real kicker? Stewart decided to play up the punk chic theme by matching her eyeshadow to her outfit. The end result? The wild-eyed makeup and barely there lip makes her look like a super sultry succubus!

What are three products you cannot live without?

Lipstick, bronzer and mascara. I always, always need a lip, and I love the DeVine Goddess Lipstick collection. I use Mosaic Powder Bronzing every day to wake up my face. And I swear by Magnif-Eyes Mascara; my parents gave me really great blue eyes and this mascara highlights them so gorgeously.  The small wand gets around every lash.

What is one product you swear by?

DeVine Goddess Lipstick! The consistency is so luxurious and satin-y, and I love using the lip liner pencils with the lipsticks to blend seamlessly into a perfect custom color.

How would you define your beauty style?

Bold. I usually try to do my makeup to match my mood, so sometimes it is very light and whimsical and sometimes it's dark and edgy, but I always have to have that one statement piece, either eyes or lips.  It's one of the perks of being a woman and wearing makeup, being able to change your style any day of the week.

Do you have a beauty tip or trick?  

A good lip and a solid pair of shoes can change your entire outlook on a day!

Our model Lea ventured into our Hollywood concept store with her teenaged daughter Saliko for some girl-time and bonding. After meeting our FABulous artist Despina, Lea agreed to a full-on makeover, and she ended up leaving with a revitalized approach to makeup and a bag bursting with Napoleon Perdis cosmetics.

Like most of the moms we know, Lea is one busy lady. Juggling a full-time job, a husband, two active kids and a jam-packed social calendar doesn't leave her much time for primping. What inspired you to start a beauty blog? 

Ever since I was a middle school kid with not-great skin and frizzy hair, I've had a major beauty product shopping addiction. It never occurred to me to write about beauty as my job until I landed a position at a beauty website in 2010. I joined the Daily Makeover team in the summer of 2012, and have been loving every minute of every day covering celebrity looks and giving real people makeovers. (If you ever want to chop off all your hair, hit me up!)

How would you describe your beauty style?

I like to look as natural as possible, but as we all know, perfectly undone hair and no-makeup makeup involve more than a few steps in the morning (my fiancé calls the bathroom mirror my "office"). Also, blunt bangs have become my thing over the past couple years, so I'm thrilled whenever a famous person cuts fringe.

What is your favorite Napoleon Perdis product?

Napoleon Perdis Magnif-Eyes Mascara is Goldilocks perfect: not too thick, not too bare, and never clumpy. I love a skinny mascara wand!

Who or where do you get beauty inspiration from?

I think we all have celebrity spirit animals. Mine are Rooney Mara and Marion Cotillard. Also, I love checking out everyone's makeup, nails and hairstyles on the subway. The L train to Brooklyn is like a daily fashion show.

I'm in a roller derby rec league on the weekends! But I'm still learning how to stop on skates.

What is one product you swear by?

Everyone who knows me knows that I am a Boudoir Mist Spray Foundation junkie!! I love the fact that it's waterproof and gives my skin a subtle glow and radiance, but without too much coverage. Boudoir Mist Spray Foundation is the perfect product for me because I'm a Texas girl and need my makeup to stay on all day. Plus I am a hero at parties or music festivals when I pull out my spray to airbrush my friends.

How would you define your beauty style?

I am never the girl to leave the house without makeup on, and I have been teased by my friends and coworkers for wearing a smokey eye every day of the week (days off included!) When I'm getting ready, I define my style by makeup inspiration and then put together my outfit based on my makeup look. I am 5'2 so you will never catch me wearing flats. I was born in heels!!   

Do you have a beauty tip or trick?  

I am absolutely in love with Napoleon's latest Mosaic Powder in Flushing. Not only do I use this product to give my cheeks a summer glow, but I also swirl my smudge brush in the powder and use as a peach shadow in my own eye crease, or my clients. The color really illuminates eyes of all shapes and sizes!

Finish by lining the upper lash line with Eye Pencil Gray Matters (black can look too severe when paired with a bright red lip!).

3) Cheeks

Use Contour Brush 16b to apply Camera Finish Look N9 just underneath the cheekbones to contour and use Chisel Blush Brush 22b to sweep Mosaic Blushing lightly over the apples of the cheeks to add warmth to the face.

4) Lips

Make sure the Auto Pilot Lip Service has done its job and thoroughly hydrated the lips. Use Precision Lip Brush g3 to apply Mattetastic Veronica to the lips. Finish by lining the lips with Lip Pencil Hot Mocha.

5) Finishing Touches

Add another coat of Magnif-Eyes Mascara and use Eyebrow Pencil Pale Rider to groom and define the brows.

Step 1 - Use Smudging & Sculpting Brush 7r to blend a shadow like Color Disc Espresso to Go along the lower lash line, working inwards. Continue to blend the shadow along the outer corner of the eyelid, working up to the socket area, creating something like a "C" shape.

Step 2 - Next use Angled Chisel Brush 9a to apply China Doll Gel Eyeliner Equinox to the top lash line. Then apply the eyeliner to lower lash line, flicking the line up at the outer corner of the eye to create lift.

Step 3 - To open up the eyes, use Cream Liner Brush 4h to apply China Doll Gel Eyeliner Alabaster to the waterline and inner corners of the eye.

Boudoir Mist Spray Foundation! It covers my melasma perfectly

How would you define your beauty style?

I have flaws (spots from melasma) and I don't want to see them. So I wear a full face on most days but I don't want to look like a drag queen.  The Napoleon products give me coverage without a mask look.

Do you have a beauty tip or trick?

My Boudoir Mist Spray Foundation is precious to me so I want it to last as long as possible. I build my coverage by combining Off Duty Tinted Moisturizer with Camera Finish Foundation then spraying a light mist over to perfect. It makes the finish flawless and I don't go through it too quickly.

I love coming back to Australia on vacation. My family moved to LA when I was six but like my parents, I still consider it home.  Fashion Week this year happened to fall in the middle of my Spring Break vacation from school so it wasn't too hard to convince Mom and Dad to bring me and my three sisters -  Alexia, Athina, and Angelene - with them. I've been lucky enough to go to Fashion Week with my Dad before but this time my sisters came too for a couple of shows to share the experience and see Dad working backstage.  I love getting dressed up and I love fashion so being able to watch a designer's collection is such a cool thing to get to do. If it's not too crowded and busy backstage, I like to go and see my Dad working on the models and have a preview of what the look is going to be. It's pretty crazy behind the scenes: it can get pretty hectic and noisy at times with all the hair dryers, the music, the media, and the yelling (some of which comes from Dad!) so you have to make sure you're not in the way. I love seeing the models both before and after makeup and seeing how different they can look. Here are a few of my favourite things:

THE OPENING SHOW: Camilla & Marc

It was their 10th anniversary show and the first time my Dad's worked with the designers so it was super special and a great first-show experience to start the week. I really loved the gold and white pieces - and the hair. I wish my hair looked like that every day - so sleek and smooth! The makeup was really fresh and clean, a great low-fi look to start the week.

ALL ABOUT NUDE: Christopher Esber

I thought Christopher Esber's show was really cool, very urban, and I loved the shirts. The feel of the show was a bit preppy which I loved. The makeup was very nude and neutral, which was a trend that went right through the week. It looks like it's really effortless on the runway but I know that sometimes, the no-makeup look can take a lot more work to do backstage. I would have loved to see a bit more colour in the makeup but I understand that the makeup really needs to work in with the colour palette of the collection and the general mood, which this did.

THE TALLEST GIRLS IN THE WORLD: Alex Perry

My dad is friends with Alex and has done the makeup for his shows for years. He does great red-carpet dresses and super glam gowns but this year was quite different. I loved his new direction, it was a bit cooler, a little more edgy than his usual glamazon look. There were some great dresses I loved but they were SO short! I don't know whether it's because the models were so tall or whether he designed them to be that length for effect on the runway. The photographers were going crazy at the end of the runway. One thing's for sure: there's no way my Dad would let me leave the house in something that short!  I liked the makeup at this show also; it was really pretty and all about contouring and creating flattering angles on the face. Dad's technique is called Couture Contouring and it's based on an old Hollywood makeup technique he learnt when he was starting out as a makeup artist. The models in this show were amazingly tall - models tend to be tall but these girls just seemed like giants to me. As pretty as they all were, no one was as beautiful as Sarah Murdoch who I met after the show. She was really friendly so I asked her if we could have a photo together.

PRINT TASTIC: Ginger & Smart

I really like this label and I love that they're sisters too! 'Shapeshifter' was a really fun show to watch with all the great print dresses and pops of colour. I liked the dresses and suits with cut-out pieces and the sporty, bralet tops. I really loved the stacked heels and they also did some great boxy-shaped bags that I thought were cool. With all that was going on with the prints and colour, the makeup needed to be fresh and neutral and not fight with the fashion. The hair was also really fresh and natural - well, it looked natural on the runway but there was a lot of work going into it backstage!

THE FAVOURITE: Toni Maticevski

My absolute favourite show in terms of clothes and makeup was Toni's show. It was all just so elegant, beautiful, and ladylike and was inspired by a modern take on Grace Kelly. To be honest, there was nothing I'd wear right now as it was all very sophisticated and grown up but I think my Mum will definitely invest in few pieces. She loves Toni's clothes and usually orders a few things each season - here's hoping I can borrow them in a few years when I have more formal events to go to!! The models carried beautiful clutches made out of real flowers which was a really cool touch. The hair was worn in an up do, very Grace Kelly, and the makeup was really soft and pretty without being too girly. Some of the girls wore a beauty stamp in the shape of a star or heart which made it look a bit 'punk princess' which I loved.

DINNER AND A SHOW: Dion Lee 

The Dion Lee show was really special and I felt so lucky to be there; it was a very intimate dinner at the French restaurant in the Sydney Opera House, Guillaume. Being right on the harbour and under the sails of The Opera House was a pretty cool moment for me. After we ate our main course, the models came out and walked around the tables while a three-piece orchestra played in the background. Dion's clothes were really slick and sporty and sharp - very body con - and he accessorized them with R.M. Williams riding boots that were custom made for the show. I'd love to get my hands on a pair! The makeup was cool too;  Dad described it as 'modern nautical' which worked back with the clothes - and it was great to see a change from all the nude looks that were trending at other shows. During the Dion show,  I saw the actress Phoebe Tonkin sitting on another table. I have watched every episode of the H20 show, it was my favourite show a couple of years ago, and so I had to go and meet her once it was over.  Phoebe is even more beautiful in person and really friendly. I feel so lucky to have met her and had my picture taken with her. That followed by a delicious chocolate souffle was the perfect way to end a long day - and my last Fashion Week show before heading back to LA to start the new school term.

LA focused Angeleno magazine devoted an entire page to Napoleon and his glamour principles -- as well as his feelings about living in Los Angeles -- in their "Health and Beauty" section:

Clad in a cream-colored Armani suit, the Disney teen queen paired a metallic gold eyeliner with long, luscious lashes, flawless skin and a totally nude lip. Against her lovely red locks, the shimmery gold eye looked like a million bucks!

	Vogue Australia goes behind the scenes to learn backstage beauty secrets from Fashion Week's top makeup artists.  Napoleon's contribution?  " 'I use Gamelia just to mute away any lip pigment and give you a naked lip,' he explained, dabbing it on Montana Cox. This is perfect for when you want to create true nude lips or apply a bright or neon gloss over the top to prevent your own lip colour interfering with the shade in the tube."
	Harper's Bazaar Australia also published a feature on this season's runway makeup trends -- "The New Nudes and Hot Hair, Don't Care" -- highlighting the matte nude look Napoleon created for the Ellery show: "The New Nude trend skin continued backstage at Ellery with the team from Napoleon Perdis giving models 'creamy, milky matte' skin. 'Kym didn’t want the girls to look to sexy, glamorous or overly ‘done’,' said Kate Squires from Napoleon Perdis who dusted Napoleon Perdis Mattifying Mineral Primer into models’ skin, over the Sheer Genius Liquid Foundation to create a satin smooth base; 'It mattifies without any colour or pigment so it won’t build up,' she explained."

1) Tell us about the inspiration for this collection?

There were some strong but not imposing religious references this season... It's very feminine and almost angelic.

2) How did this inspiration influence the makeup direction?

I really wanted the girls to look almost like these angelic creatures - very pretty, feminine, youthful. Clean fresh skin with a bit of definition in the lash.

3) What's it like to collaborate with Napoleon?

Fun! He is so lovely, warm, so much fun... And funny. He's great. I love the team. 

4) Describe the mood backstage in three words.

Positive, exciting, calm!

5) Why is showing at Fashion Week so important to your brand?

It's important to be able to convey the whole picture of your brand and collection - which doesn't just come from the clothes, it comes from the makeup, hair, nails. It's presenting a feeling and a girl. It all just comes together and the media and buyers can feel what you're trying to say.

1) Tell us about the inspiration for this collection?  

Transformation. Shapes are taking on different versions: lines transform and take on shape, and it's all very angular.  We opted for a neutral tone across the colours -- black, white, navy, blush, cream with just a flash of colour -- and a stealth bomber graphic. Look for 3D version textures, like french lace, and some sport references. 

The girl herself is very polished but quite playful, done but undone at the same time.  Uptown chic but downtown cool, willing to try a new look with a bit of an edge. Flashes of rose gold in her shoes.  Wears jackets off the shoulders. 

2) How did this inspiration influence the makeup direction? 

The focus for the makeup is beautiful soft angles which are reflected via the clothes.  The girl has a healthy, dewy glow -- skin that glows a bit -- and her beauty is enhanced via the makeup base and cheeks.  She's not not heavily made up, not a traditional or glamour girl.  The girls are real beauties! 

3) What's it like to collaborate with Napoleon?

It's always a pleasure; we always look forward to working with Napoleon.  He's committed and supportive throughout the year.  We're enjoying the collaboration!  

4) Describe the mood backstage in three words. 

High energy, intense and explosive. Backstage the mood is intense as everybody has their job but remains focused.  Time goes by in the snap of a finger and next thing you know that intensity is exploding on the runway.

5) Why is showing at fashion week so important to your brand? 

It's a really good way to show where you're at with your brand. Plus it's a chance to see the collection as a complete look from the hair to the makeup to the shoes. It helps tell the story of your brand.

I always like to make sure my eyes stand out by applying a light coat of China Doll Gel Eyeliner Alabaster on my eyelids, followed by a light dusting of Color Disc Blushing Bride.

What inspired you to become a beauty blogger?

I actually always wanted to write about beauty products. I have been a music + film writer for 20 years (I started super young, since I knew what I wanted to do in grade school!) and I was always able to express my thoughts and critique a song or an artist or a film, and I found myself being super explanatory with my girlfriends about how I used products. And I was like, you know, I can share my experience and tips with other women like I do my friends. Through a friend, I was connected to Beauty News NYC. I have been the beauty editor since 2008! Couldn't be happier!

How would you describe your beauty style?

Rocker chic! I have been to 2000+ rock concerts in my lifetime, and I can never have enough blacker-than-black eyeliner, extra black mascara or megawatt shiny pink or peach lip gloss. NEVER! But I also love smoky eyes that are violet or midnight blue. It doesn't HAVE to be black.

What is your favorite Napoleon Perdis product?

Oh my, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE X 10 the Lip Lacquers. I actually received a sample of Ambrosia Gold to review for Beauty News NYC and I loved the shine. It was like the disco '70s, a look that I absolutely adore and continue to replicate. I remember wearing it when I was with my boyfriend at the time and we were taking his dad out to dinner and he actually asked me not to wear it when I sat across from him at dinner since it made him want to smooch me! Now that's a sign of an effective lip gloss, don't you think?

Who or where do you get beauty inspiration from?

Always from celebs in magazines. Whether it's Life & Style or Allure, or a beauty blog, I always get some ideas from the pictures. Most celebs are being made up by MUAs, so that's the best place to glean from. My friends, too. If I see a girl on the street whose makeup I love, I'll stop and ask her what she used. I've had people do that to me. It's NEVER an insult, either. It means people noticed.

Share something your readers might not know about you.

Hmm. Well, I'm also a music publicist, working with rock bands and have been doing that for 11+ years. And my favorite show in the whole wide world is The Golden Girls. I can quote almost every episode back to front. And my major celeb crush is Anderson Cooper. I adore him, like lurve. He just seems like the warmest, most adorbs Silver Fox ever.

GET THE LOOK! 

1) Skin

Prep first with Napoleon Complex Skin Renewal Serum and Auto Pilot Lip Service. Next, apply Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer for a smooth landing. Apply Pro Palette Concealer to the eye area and any areas of concern and set with a light dusting of Camera Finish Powder Foundation. Add a light application of Boudoir Mist Spray Foundation to create a flawless finishing touch.

2) Eyes

For the ultimate eye-opener, curl lashes and apply your first coat of Magnif-Eyes Mascara. Next, apply Color Disc Orange Zest onto the mobile lid and blend just past the socket of the eye. Blend Mosaic Flushing through the socket of the eye to create warmth.

Mix two drops of Cake Eyeliner Sealer with Loose Eye Dust Electric Blue and apply to the top lash line for a sparkling result. Smudge Eye Pencil In The Navy onto the waterline and through the lower lash line. Set with a touch of Loose Eye Dust Electric Blue for added definition.

3) Cheeks

Sweep Camera Finish Powder Foundation N5 Topaz underneath the cheekbones and onto the temples for Couture Contours. Apply a soft blend of Mosaic Powder to the apples of the cheek. Highlight the top of the cheekbones, cupid's bow and along the centre bridge of the nose with a touch of Color Disc Angel Dust. 

4) Lips

For an understated nude look, smudge Lip Pencil Nude Awakening over the lips. Generously coat lips with MATTETASTIC Lipstick Ava and finish with a layer of Luminous Lip Veil Angelic Psychedelic. 

5) Finishing Touches

Groom and define the brows with a touch of Eyebrow Pencil Pale Rider. Next add a second coat of Magnif-Eyes Mascara. Add extra length, volume and curl with Lashes Zinnia.

1) Skin

Prep skin first with Napoleon Complex Skin Renewal Serum and Auto Pilot Lip Service. Next, apply Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer for a smooth landing. Blend Advanced Mineral Makeup into the skin to hydrate and even out the skin tone. Apply the Mighty Concealer Pen to the eye area and any areas of concern and set the concealer with a light dusting of Camera Finish.

2) Eyes

For the ultimate eye-opener, curl lashes and apply your first coat of Magnif-Eyes Mascara. The star-studded event, which took place on the evening of March 27 in Sydney, celebrates the year's oustanding achievements in the world of fashion and beauty.

In addition to winning the Best Australian Beauty Brand award, Napoleon Perdis was also runner-up for The One Concealer in the Best Skincare Product (splurge) category while NP Set Lip Balm with Benefits was a finalist in the Best Make-up Product (steal) category.

The acknowledgement is an amazing honor for Napoleon, who opened his very first concept store 18 years ago on Sydney Oxford Street. His brand has since expanded into 72 concept stores in Australia and the USA, and is represented at major department and luxury stores around the world. In 2008, Napoleon launched his second cosmetics line, NP Set, which is now at over 1600 Target USA stores as well as at 300 Target Australia stores.

What are three products you cannot live without?

Primer! I switch around depending on what suits best at the time. My faithful go-to is the NP Set Pre-Foundation Primer Set but if my skin has a little redness then Calming Pre-Foundation Primer is a must and if I feel like a bit of a lift then it is the NP Set Brightening Pre-Foundation Primer.

Devine Goddess Lipstick, specfically in the shade and texture of Andromeda. This is my safety item when I go out. Like my phone, this is always at arm's reach. It brings just enough colour to the face to create an instant change, even when I am wearing minimal makeup.

Compact Mirror. The one I always carry around with me was a gift from my nana and has beautiful butterflies on the lid. It comes out wherever I am [almost a bad habit!] for a quick lipstick touchup.

What is one product you swear by?

Sheer Genius Foundation. I mix it up with other foundations but Sheer Genius is just the perfect level of coverage with a great sense of lightness. I have never been one for heavier foundation, so Sheer Genius is a god send. On a night out or if I am going for a more 'made up' look I'll finish my base with Camera Finish Foundation.

How would you define your beauty style?

I keep it natural with an occasional bright lip or heavier, standout eye. I've definitely discovered the benefits of a blush too. It can bring instant radiance and a healthy glow to skin. It also gives some depth and structure to the face.

Do you have a beauty tip or trick?

For me, it is a holistic approach. Makeup is the final step. It is important to eat healthy, drink lots of water, use SPF everyday and exercise regularly. Oh, and laugh a lot. Your skin will then radiate from the inside and ensures makeup is enhancement and not cover up.

AFTER:  Combine a great base, barely there blush and highlight with a lip stain and generous application of mascara to get Pretty Preppy!

1) Skin

Top beauty trade magazine, Beauty Fashion, announced the launch of Napoleon Perdis at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman. The two luxury department stores will carry the full signature line. This marks a major milestone for the Australian native!

Culture Map fashion editor Heather Staible posted a rave review on her experience with Napoleon at Neiman Marcus Houston. The High School Musical star stepped out in a daring dress by Naeem Khan and eye-catching beauty look at the LA premiere of Spring Breakers. The makeup? It was all about glittery metallics!  The one-time teen queen paired a nude lip and bare cheeks with bold brows and a healthy dose of shimmery copper shadow on both the top and lower lash lines. Even her manicure -- a sparkling silver -- was in on the glittery game plan.

What is one product you swear by?

I have two! First is the Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer! It's only fitting that another Hollywood costumer -- The Closer's Greg LaVoi -- should restore and relaunch the eponymous fashion line founded by legendary costume designer Irene (Lentz) Gibbons, an incredible talent known for her simple and timeless yet feminine approach to fashion. 

To complement the clean lines and structure of the collection's designs, the Napoleon Perdis makeup team created a very crisp black and white 60's inspired eye. A barely-there lip provided the perfect match for the dramatic mod eye makeup.  The effect is quite striking, but you can recreate this runway look for everyday wear by following these steps.

GET THE LOOK!

1) Skin

Prep skin first with the application of Napoleon Complex Skin Renewal Serum and Auto Pilot Lip Service. Next, apply Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer for a smooth result. Apply The One Concealer to the eye area and any areas of concern and set the concealer with a light dusting of Camera Finish Powder Foundation. Add a light application of Boudoir Mist Spray Foundation to create a flawless finishing touch.

2) Eyes

To start, curl the lashes and apply a coat of Magnif-Eyes Mascara to provide a road map for thelook.  Next, pat Color Disc Skinny Dip on the mobile lid, sweeping the color just past the outer corner of the eye. Then feather a very small amount of China Doll Gel Eyeliner in Alabaster to highlight the brow bone and inner corner of the eye. Next sweep Color Disc Queen of the Night in the socket of the eye, but be sure to blend the dark shadow up and out.

Next line the lower water line with China Doll Gel Eyeliner in Alabaster, drawing the line past the outer corner of the eye and winging it up at a slight angle.  Then line the lower lash line with China Doll Gel Eyeliner in Equinox, starting at the inner corner and drawing it out past the outer corner of the eye, just below the white eyeliner. To finish off this mod makeup look, line the top lash line with China Doll Gel Eyeliner in Equinox, once again winging the black liner out past the outer corner of the eye, this time just above the white liner.

3) Cheeks

Use the contour shade in our Ultimate Contour Palette just below the cheekbones to add definition to the face.  For a dramatic contour, sweep the highlight shade from our Ultimate Contour Palette from the apple of the cheeks all the way along the top of the cheekbone.

4) Lips

Pat The One Concealer over the lips to get a nice clean nude base. Then lightly press DéVine Goddess Lipstick Hess into the center of the lips and feather it outward to create a subtle but gorgeous pout.

5) Finishing Touches

It's all about lashes! To get that 60's feel, apply Lashes Freesia to the upper eyelid. Lastly, fill in the brows with Eyebrow Pencil Chocoholic or Pale Rider.

What is one product you swear by?

Pro Palette Concealer! It's my all time favorite beacuse you can use it as a concealer and you can cater it to any color that you are throughout any season. You can wear it with or without powder and it's one of the most versatile products that we have.

How would you describe your beauty style?

Over the last few days I feel that I've become a little bit of a modern day Pat Benatar. I usually go for a more natural look on a day-to-day basis in the office but I always dress my cheeks. I just feel more confident when I have a good blush on.

Do you have a beauty tip?

I find that a lot of woman don't take into consideration dressing their cheeks. They'll either do an eye or a lip or both or none, but they don't sort of include their blush. I think always having a little bit of a blush on the apple part of the cheeks really gives a woman a healthy glow.

1) Skin

Napoleon relocated from Australia to Los Angeles six years ago to expand his brand and tells WWD that he expects the majority of growth to come from the USA. "The USA is the most sophisticated market in the world for appreciating tertiary creative energy." He goes on to say, "There is nothing like the American female to celebrate glamour. She's amazing; she's global; she's intellectual; she's in control." In addition to Neiman Marcus, Napoleon will be launching his full line at Bergdorf Goodman on March 6. "They really didn't have anything like us on the floor because everything is so neutral, nothing like a total customizable makeup bar."  Moving forward, Napoleon will be focusing on expanding distribution, color and developing "much bigger ingredient decks" in foundations and primers to address "the need for freshness" in skin.

The Daily Guide to Dallas Shopping featured an interview with Napoleon, including his thoughts on Dallas, spring makeup trends and must-have products.

Napoleon tells the mag, "The Dallas woman is actually my muse. She's really polite. She's really well put-together. She still feels that America is pure and available to her." When asked what his favorite NP product is, Napoleon says, "That's like asking me if I love one of my kids more." What inspired you to start a beauty blog? 

I was inspired to start a blog to expose readers to all the fabulous food, fashion and experiences in Dallas. Now I'm sharpening my focus to highlight dining (a diva's gotta eat!), travel and beauty!

How would you describe your beauty style? 

My beauty style is easy does it. I actually only learned how to do my makeup about two-and-a-half years ago, thanks to observing my baby sister's fabulous way with makeup. I used to think of it as a chore, but with a wealth of great products out there, I see it now as a fun way to express my style!

What are your favorite Napoleon Perdis products?

Never low maintenance. I like a full face all the time! A little bit edgy; I like a lot of black liner. I also wear glasses sometimes, so I like to create different looks that go well with them.

Do you have a beauty trick or tip?

I like to make my own lip shades. I layer different lipsticks and lip glosses and mix a lip pencil with our Luminous Lip Veils. Another trick is when I wear my Mesmer-eyes Mascara I close my eyes and apply it. This way the mascara coats both my top and bottom lashes giving it a smoky look.

BEFORE:  Our lovely brunette model has a charming smile and light blue eyes.  What can we do to play up her pretty features?

AFTER:  AH-mazing! Using lots of highlighter, dark shadows and mascara gives our girl lashes for days and sets off her pretty blue peepers.

3) Cheeks

Sweep Camera Finish Powder Foundation N5 Topaz underneath the cheekbones and onto the temples for Couture Contours. Apply a light dusting of Mosaic Flushing to the apples of the cheek. Highlight the top of the cheekbones, cupid's bow and along the center bridge of the nose with a touch of Loose Eye Dust Star Light.

4) Lips

Add more structure by sweeping the Dark Green Shadow (Influence) through the socket of the eye using Contour Brush 16b.  Add a drop of Cake Eyeliner Sealer to your eyeshadow brush and mix with the White Highlighter (Grace) from the Chinese New Year Quad to create a long-lasting shadow.  Apply to the inner corner of the eye for an amazing highlight. Line the lower water line and the upper inner water line with Eye Pencil Onyx Factor. 

3) Cheeks

Using Reflective Contour Brush 20b, sweep Cheek to Chic Blush Duo #1 over the apples of the cheeks. Highlight the top of your cheekbones with the Pink Ice shade of the Light Patrol Luminizer Palette.

4) Lips 

Coat the lips with a single layer of Luminous Lip Veil Pink Pearl.

5) Finishing Touches 

Use our Color Disc Skinny Dip along the brow bone, and fill in the brows using either our Eyebrow Pencil in Pale Rider or Chocoholic. Layer the lashes with another coat of Magnif-Eyes Mascara.

What inspired you to start a beauty blog?

I was working as a financial writer and found myself cornering straight actuaries on elevators and talking to them about my favorite hairsprays and lip glosses. It's been a life-changing experience I can't believe happened because of a blog I started from my cubicle at a big 4 accounting firm.
 
How would you describe your beauty style?

My beauty style is classic but with subtle modern updates. For instance, I love a classic cat-eye and a sheer red lip, but tend to embrace trends more readily with my hairstyle, opting for ombre color and infusing texture and mini-braids or going more vibrant with my makeup and trying a teal-lined eye and popsicle lip but keeping my hair simple and sleek.

GET THE LOOK!

1) Skin

2) Eyes

1. What inspired you to start a beauty blog?

DonnaDaily.com initially served as a platform for readers to see all my work as a journalist in one place. But it ended up turning into something fortuitous and I loved that I was able to post and share information on a more personal level. I have a professional background in many other things and makeup artistry is one of them, so having this blog is a very convenient and exciting way to post content. 

2. How would you describe your beauty style?

For many years, I've been known for my signature dark plum smoky eye. Nowadays, I'm trying to go a little bit more natural. I love dewy, glowy skin with awake eyes so I've been experimenting with different bronzers, face illuminators, and creating more natural eye looks. 

3. What is your favorite Napoleon Perdis product?

Napoleon Peris products are ALWAYS a staple in my kit and everyday routine. If I had to pick just one, it would be the Eyebrow Pencil. It is a reliable formula that stays on and gives my eyebrow that extra oomph. 

4. Who or where do you get beauty inspiration from?

When I was younger, I wanted to have the radiating confidence that my mom had. She is an ageless and natural beauty and always told me that makeup should just enhance your natural features, not change them. 

5. Share something your readers might not know about you.

In my free time, I study music. I was a former violinist in the San Francisco Golden Gate Philharmonic many years ago and I still consider it a huge passion of mine.

Golden Globe winner Jennifer Lawrence also impressed the king of beauty with her Christian Dior dress and smokey eye makeup; Napoleon exclaims, "Listen up, young Hollywood, this is how to do award season!"

But not everyone got a rave review... Heidi Klum's thigh high split in her white Alexandre Vautheir dress was a fashion flop: "Another gown that looks more at home in a dancing comp (minus the train of course)."

In Grazia's "Fashion Jury" spread, Napoleon gives a standing ovation to Helen Mirren, Emily Blunt and Nicole Richie's star style.

"She's 67 years old and absolutely bloody fantastic!" he says about Mirren's sexy black and gold Badgley Mischka gown.

The beautiful Blunt keeps it classy with the right amount of skin, statement earrings and an updo; Napoleon deems it "Fab-u-lust!"

Nicole Richie made a major style statement by matching her eyes to her dress: "It's a bold move but hey, it works!"

Lena Dunham makes a not-so-fitting choice in a Zac Posen gown. Napoleon says, "Posen needed to sew some confidence into the lining."

Another unimpressive look was Amy Adams' bland Marchesa dress which he calls "an award-season snooze."

Now we happen to love her red carpet look at the Golden Globes: pairing a berry-stained lip with her aqua colored dress sets off her fair skin and long red locks. But several major media outlets -- including the Huffington Post  and Yahoo  -- have criticized the look, putting her on their list of "worst-dressed."

Step 1 - Curl your lashes and apply your mascara as you normally do. Then load your makeup brush with mascara and place the Q-tip underneath the lashes.

Step 2 - Get as close to the skin as possible, and press the mascara into the lash bed.  Continue all the way to the inner corner of the eye.

How do you define your beauty style?

Napoleon often refers to me as the "english rose" because I am very fair and don't wear a lot makeup, except for special occasions. Everyday me is fresh skin, rosy cheeks and lots of mascara. My lip could either be bold or sheer and glossy.

What is your number one beauty tip?

Always put on an extra coat of mascara from what you normally do. Something I find is that women don't wear enough mascara and they miss the little inner and outer corners of the lashes. I always get asked how I make my mascara look so good and the truth is, I put a ton on! That extra layer will make your lashes look thicker, fuller and curlier as well.

1) Skin

For sky high cheekbones, add the highlight from The Ultimate Contour Palette over the top of the cheekbones, bridge of the nose and cupid's bow.

4) Lips

Create this vampy pout by mixing China Doll Gel Eyeliner Heaven with DeVine Goddess Lipstick Aphrodite. Start with a consistency of 50/50 until the desired hue is created. Set with Color Disc All That Shiraz.

To reduce redness and keep your eyes fresh, add a small amount of The One Concealer to the lower waterline.

3) Cheeks

But today we're obsessing over the makeup looks of Miss Universe Australia Jesinta Campbell and model turned VJ Kate Peck. 

Jesinta's simple and pretty makeup highlights her gorgeous features. Flawless skin, flushed cheeks, pretty but minimal black lashes and a poppy pink lip make her look like a million bucks.

Kate Peck wears a very similar look, but amps up the drama with a heavier black eyeliner and lashes. When paired with her super short platinum blond hair and metal choker, it makes her look fierce yet feminine.

Step 1 - Mix equal parts Auto Pilot Skin Primer with Pro Palette Concealer.

Her to-die-for makeup -- black eyeliner and lashes, a beautiful blush and a fuschia lip -- perfectly complements the overall look.

Little sister Elle Fanning tagged along, and where Dakota went for glamour, Elle opted for adventure. Dressed head-to-toe in origami-inspired Prada, including a pair of outrageous flatforms, Elle is quickly evolving from child star into fashionista. Did she offset the petal pink ensemble and her pale skin with some colorful makeup? Nope! Girl kept it sleek and simple: long, straight blond hair, a bit of light glittery liner around the eyes, a soft sweep of blush and just a touch of lip gloss.

Of course, glamour is always on the agenda for Melbourne's racing season, and the many celebrities in attendance on Tuesday did not disappoint. Fashionable frocks, fascinators and finery caught our eye as well as several fabulous faces. Here are our favorite fashion and makeup looks from this year's Melbourne Cup.

#1 Rose Byrne

Rose Byrne looked classic yet chic in her custom-made Alex Perry dress, black and white Chanel flower fascinator and peachy clean makeup.

#2 Sophie Monk

So we're a bit biased on this one since we did her makeup, but we thought Sophie looked absolutely radiant. Napoleon Perdis Makeup Artist Nicole Snell used a combination of Crème de la Crème Eyeshadow Quicksilver and Loose Eye Dust Mosaic Gold for a lustrous effect that really stands out against her modern white Carl Kapp dress.

#3 Delta Goodrem

We love the way Delta topped off her pretty in pink ensemble with a bubble gum colored pout and long black lashes.

#4 Mischa Barton

Mischa was all elegance in her Ellery-designed dress – the ox blood colour is so very now -- Philip Treacy hat and Louis Vuitton accessories. Her subtle makeup -- complete with our Loose Eye Dust in Honey Child for a bit of shimmer  -- was chic and classy.

#5 Ashley Madekwe

Apply to the middle section of the eye and join with the pink so the colors blend seamlessly. Combine 1 part China Doll Gel Eyeliner Heaven and 2 parts DéVine Goddess Lipstick Calypso and apply with a Precision Angle Sable Brush 5a to the outer third of the eye. Extend the eyeliner up towards the brow into a sharp flick.

3) Cheeks

Contour the face using The Ultimate Contour Palette #8 and sweep Mosaic Flushing over the apples of the cheeks.  

4) Lips

Line the lips with Lip Pencil Witty In Pink and add Luminous Lip Veil Café Au Lait. 

5) Finishing Touches

I worked pretty hard on the costume, which included a blonde wig, 3 pairs of lashes, a dress enhanced with built-in Barbie 'proportions' and a night-long giant smile (exhausting). I also brought along plenty of props for good measure: plastic food/drink items, plastic accessories, and even played Barbie commerical jingles from a pink boom box. Alas, Ken was also nowhere to be found!"

Hanna Teklu, Sales Coordinator:  "I usually wear something pretty basic, like an angel costume or a witch costume. But last year I went all out and dressed up as Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace from Battlestar Galactica. My best costume ever!"

It was a last minute thing, so all I did was put on a black dress and drape heavy black netting over my head. Girl may have a hectic schedule, but Swifty is always put together. She decided to get thematic for her recent appearance on Good Morning America, promoting her new Red album by pairing a black dress and super neat black eyeliner with cherry red lips, nails and microphone.

Step 1: Start by shading the outer corners of the mouth with a darker hued pencil. For this look, we used Hot Mocha.

Step 2: Next, take the Highlight shade from our Ultimate Contour Palette and dust it over the cupid's bow.

Step 3: Then take the Contour shade from our Ultimate Contour Palette and sweep it under the center of the lower lip

Step 4: Continue by applying a medium toned lipstick generously to the lips.

Step 5: Finish the look by dusting the Highlight shade from our Ultimate Contour Palette on the center of the lips and press the lips together to lock in the highlight.

Cammie D hit the big 4-0 milestone this year, but it hasn't slowed her down one bit. GET THE LOOK:

1) Skin 

Prep the skin first with our Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer. Then mix together our Off Duty Tinted Moisturizer with the Pink Ice shade from our Light Patrol Luminizing Palette and apply all over the face to create a luminescent base. Hide any discoloration around the eye area using The One Concealer and set the concealer with our Camera Finish Powder Foundation.

2) Eyes

Start with our Mesmer-Eyes Mascara on the lashes to provide a road map for your look. Then apply our China Doll Gel Eyeliner in Copper to the lids and lower lash line to create the base for the eye makeup, and follow up with our Copper Topper Color Disc. After blending in the copper shadow, add some warmth and definition by dusting All That Shiraz Color Disc to the outer corner of the mobile lid, through the socket of the eye, below the lower lash line and extend out towards the temples. Then line the eyes with China Doll Gel Eyeliner in Equinox and define the brows using our Pale Rider or Chocoholic Eyebrow Pencil. Amplify the arch for added drama.

3) Cheeks

To get that pale vampy look without appearing pasty, blend a lighter product -- like our Eye Pencil in White On -- with a concealer or foundation into the center of the cheeks, forehead, and chin. Then contour the face by dusting Camera Finish in Mahogany just under the cheekbones and on the temples.

4) Lips

 Get the perfect blood-stained lips with our Barely Blushing in Barely Rouge. Deepen the intensity of the color by applying our Lip Pencil in Plum Role to the center of the lip. 

5) Finishing Touches

First add another coat of Mesmer-Eyes Mascara and then apply our Faux Lashes in Hoya or Daisy for dramatic effect. Then sweep Loose Eye Dust in Ice Storm or Star Light on the high points of the face to get that Twilight sparkle.

Of course, the Napoleon Perdis creative team was on hand to create ravishing runway looks for each of the shows, and several attendees dropped by our touch-up booth for a quick makeup pick-me-up. Friday Night

The look for Friday's Swimwear show was fresh, fun, and bronzed! With a pop of pinky lilac on the eyes, a set of lashes top and bottom, and soft subtle lips, the models captured the essence of poolside glam. We completed the body bronzing with 2 - 3 coats of Whipped Dream Tan Enhancer, and the girls were runway ready.  

Saturday Night

The look for Saturday's Upstarts show was clean, cool, and sophisticated! With a soft but edgy eye, a faux lash, and enviable pink lips, the models showcased a look for all occasions and outfits, from knits to denim and everything in between.

Every year Heidi Klum hosts one of the biggest Halloween parties in town, and each year her costumes get even more extravagant. In 2011, she put the "ack!" in "spect-ack!-ular" with her human cadaver costume.

The 5'9 supermodel spent all day getting airbrushed from head to toe.  When the look was ready, attendants dressed as blood-splattered morticians covered her with a sheet and wheeled her into the party on a gurney. Talk about a dramatic entrance!  But the jury's still out here at NP HQ, and we need your input:  is this super freaky costume FAB or DRAB?

Step 1 - Comb the brow down.

Step 2 - Lightly feather in your eyebrow pencil along the top of the hair line to the end of the brow until you achieve the desired shape.

To celebrate the launch of the 2012 NP Set Fall Collection in US stores, super glam cabanas were set up in Nokia Plaza where our amazing artists provided free mini-makeovers and beauty tips to the public. They were even able to purchase products at the pop up retail capsule.

Napoleon and his creative team were on set bright and early for a segment with Good Day LA that started at 6:25 am. Inspired by Madonna--who was performing next door at the Staples Center--the makeup maestro worked his magic, doing up models to celebrate four different periods of the Material Girl's career.

The fun continued throughout the day and well into the night at the VIP party on the Target Terrace. LA area bloggers and beauty editors had a chance to mingle with Napoleon and key members of the Hollywood team, while aerial performers flipped and cartwheeled overhead. The views of the downtown skyline from the Target Terrace were stunning, and all the VIP guests left with an NP Set Gift Box.

Today we take our inspiration from Twilight actress Ashley Greene, recreating her red carpet makeup look from the LA premiere of Breaking Dawn for our lovely teen model.

BEFORE:  Our teen model Brianna is prepped and ready for her celebrity style makeover.	AFTER:  We highlight Briannal's flawless complexion with red lips and looooong lashes, just like Ashley Greene.

GET THE LOOK:

1) Skin

The erstwhile Joan Harris recently rebuffed Australian fashion editor Kate Waterhouse for calling her "full-figured" during an interview. In Sydney to launch the Specsavers 2012 Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition, Ms. Hendricks rejected the question ("You have been an inspiration as a full-figured woman. What is the most inspiring story that you can remember where you've inspired someone?"), later explaining, "I think calling me full-figured is just rude."

Whatever you call her, there's no arguing that Christina Hendricks turns heads wherever she goes, and it's her appearance at the 2012 Emmy Awards that's caught our eye today. The only way to pull off an ivory gown when you've got alabaster skin is to go for broke with the makeup! Her signature red coif frames a bold red lip and rosy cheeks. Neutral shades of peach and bronze on the eyes with black liner and lashes equals old Hollywood glamour.

The Napoleon Perdis Concept Store and Makeup Academy on Hollywood Boulevard played host to a very exciting event this week: the Walk of Fame induction ceremony for longtime movie producer Gale Anne Hurd. Best known as the writer/producer of the Terminator films, Hurd shared her inspirational story with the crowd of A-list celebrities and fans before accepting her star. 

Like Napoleon, Hurd comes from a family of immigrants: a fourth generation Angeleno, Hurd paid homage to her ancestors, who emigrated from Mexico and settled initially in Boyle Heights. Then her grandmother moved the family to the Culver City neighborhood in the 1930s where her five daughters found work in the local factory. But they didn't work on an assembly line making consumer goods. The factory they worked in was called MGM Studios, and the product they made... movies!  Hurd's own mother was actually the secretary to Jack Dawn, the head of MGM's makeup department, making the location of Hurd's star -- right in front of our Makeup Academy -- a touching tribute to her mum. 

Hurd then went on to talk about her trials and tribulations as a female producer in the male-dominated realm of sci-fi action movies. Like Napoleon, Hurd struggled against preconceived notions and society's expectations to pursue her passion. It wasn't an easy road, but perseverance and the endless encouragement of the people who believed in her -- including her first boss, legendary filmmaker Roger Corman -- kept her going. "It only takes one yes to change your life," she reminded the crowd.

In addition to the Terminator movies, her extensive list of producing credits includes Aliens, The Abyss, Tremors, Dante's Peak, Armageddon, The Punisher, and the AMC series, The Walking Dead. Both director James Cameron -- with whom Hurd collaborated on the early Terminator films, Aliens and The Abyss -- and Andrew Lincoln -- lead actor of The Walking Dead -- were on hand to honor Hurd's incredible talent and drive.

 "She's a machine," said Cameron. "You can't stop her. She's the Terminator of producers."

In addition to motherhood, both of these blondes have enjoyed long and successful Hollywood careers, and they each know how to work the red carpet. But this week we're pairing them up to find out which of their most glamorous looks YOU like best.

First up is one of Reese's most beloved red carpet moments: the black vintage-inspired Valentino she paired with classic curls and a bold red lip at the 2002 Oscars. It was deco drama done right! Next we have one of Drew's big wins: the light pink Christian Dior she wore at the 2007 Golden Globes. The messy up do, shimmery makeup and glowing tan captured the California girl charm that's made her a star.

Formal season is upon us, and if you're dying to recreate Selena's super pretty look for your own big night out, we're here to help.  

BEFORE: Unlike Ms. Bieber, our model Michelle is a fair-haired, blue-eyed beauty. Still, we can recreate Selena's look for Michelle using our Ultimate Nude Palette.

GET THE LOOK!

1) Skin

Prep the skin first with Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer to make your makeup last. Start by applying Pro Palette Concealer to the eye area and any areas of concern, and follow up with Boudoir Mist Spray Foundation to create a flawless base. Set with Camera Finish Powder Foundation in areas prone to shine.

2) Eyes

For the ultimate eye-opener, curl lashes and apply your first coat of Mesmer-Eyes Mascara. Next apply The Ultimate Nude Palette - Shade #2 onto the mobile lid and layer with Loose Eye Dust in Golden Peach. Wash The Ultimate Nude Palette - Shade #5 through the socket of the eye to create depth and add warmth. Smudge Eye Pencil Brown Sugar over the top lash line and below the lower lash line. Set with The Ultimate Nude Palette - Shade #12 to add defintion to the eye.

3) Cheeks

Contour just below the cheekbones and temples using The Ultimate Nude Palette - Shade #8.  Sweep Color Disc Orange Sherbet on the apples of the cheeks for a soft finish. Highlight the top of the cheekbones, cupid's bow and the center bridge of the nose with a touch of Mighty Concealer Pen in Mellow Yellow.

4) Lips

For a peachy pout, apply DéVine Goddess Lipstick Niki to the lips and layer with Lip Lacquer Ambrosia Gold for the perfect lip combination of  shimmer and color.

5) Finishing Touches

Groom and define the brows with a touch of Eyebrow Pencil Pale Rider. Line the water line with Foundation Stick Look 1 to freshen the eyes. Finish with a second coat of Mesmer-Eyes Mascara.

To recreate this look, follow these three simple steps:

1.  Start by sweeping a small amount of your select shade of Mighty Concealer Pen over the entire lip.

2.  Next apply DéVine Goddess Lipstick in Electra for the perfect pop of pink.

3.  Finish with Luminous Lip Veil in Cherchez La Femme for a luscious shine.

BEFORE:  Even the best of us needs a pick-me-up now and then.

2) Eyes

Curl the lashes and apply your first coat of Mesmer-Eyes Mascara from roots to the tips. Sweep The Ultimate Contour Palette Contour through the socket of the eye and under the lower lash line using Sculpting Brush 10r. Mix Creme De La Creme Eyeshadow Quicksilver with Loose Eye Dust Copper Element and pat onto the mobile lid evenly using Flat Shader Brush 10b. Line the water line with a mix of The One Concealer and China Doll Gel Eyeliner Alabaster. Define only the center of the upper and lower lash line with Eye Pencil Brown Sugar to give the eye a more rounded shape.  

3) Cheeks

Mix The One Concealer with DéVine Goddess Lipstick Calypso and apply to the apples of the cheek. Mould into the skin with fingertips. Mix Auto Pilot Lip Service with Loose Eye Dust Star Light and highlight the top of the cheekbones, the center bridge of the nose and cupid's bow. 

4) Lips

Mix The One Concealer with DéVine Goddess Lipstick Calypso and pat onto the lips for a soft stain of color. 

5) Finishing Touches

Coat your lashes with a second coat of Mesmer-Eyes Mascara to the top lashes and one coat to the bottom lashes. Groom and define the brows with Eyebrow Pencil Pale Rider.

GET THE LOOK! 

1) Skin

Prep the skin first with Napoleon Complex Skin Renewal Serum and our Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer. Buff our Stick Foundation lightly over the face using Complexion Perfection Brush 23s.  Then conceal any dark circles under the eyes or blemishes with our Pro Palette Concealer, and set using our Camera Finish Powder Foundation.

2) Eyes

Start with our Mesmer-Eyes Mascara, applying from roots to tips -- this will provide a road map for your look.  

Then wet a Tapered Shadow Brush 9b, mix with the Pewter Swan Lake shadow from your Swan Lake Prismatic Eye Quad, and apply all over the mobile lid. Next sweep the Black Swan Lake shadow through the crease using a Sculpting Brush 10r, focusing most of the color at the outer corner of the top lash line.  Then diffuse the black shadow by sweeping the Mushroom Swan Lake shadow through the crease.

Complete the eye by lining the top lash line, water line and lower lash line with China Doll Gel Eyeliner in Equinox. You can amp up the drama by deepening the lower lash line with the Black Swan Lake shadow if needed. Then add warmth to the eye by sweeping the Bisque Swan Lake shadow through the socket and blending lightly towards the brow bone.  

3) Cheeks

Contour your cheeks using our Camera Finish Powder Foundation in a shade darker then your skin tone and sweep Mosaic Flushing over the apples of the cheeks. Add Loose Eye Dust in Honey Child as a highlight on the top of the cheekbones.

4) Lips

Line the lips with Lip Pencil in Witty In Pink and add Luminous Lip Veil in Cocoa.  

5) Finishing Touches

Coat your lashes with a second coat of Mesmer-Eyes Mascara.
