Top performing students from the Napoleon Perdis Certificate in Fashion, Glamour and Bridal Makeup Artistry course in WA and QLD had the unique opportunity of assisting Napoleon in his David Jones appearances. This was an amazing opportunity for our certificate graduates who worked along side Napoleon's creative team and also got to see the Maestro up close and personal, practising his unique brand of makeup art.

"I would like to thank the Napoleon Academy for giving me this wonderful opportunity to work alongside a highly dynamic and experienced team at the recent personal appearance by Napoleon Perdis at David Jones, Robina.  As a student at the academy, it was very exciting for me to be invited to take part in this industry experience where I could experience the frenetic pace of such high profile events, and watch the art of makeup in practical application in a real-life situation (not to mention the excitement of being able to see the man himself!).  Moreover, it was a great opportunity to learn the latest techniques developed by Napoleon; and while assisting my artist, Andie, I had the chance to observe how a professional makeup artist communicate and develop a look with a client.  However, one of the most memorable thing that I had taken away from that experience was the observation of the way the different roles communicate and work with each other so effectively that the whole day went smoothly along amidst the crush and chaos of all the ladies that came for a makeover and to meet Napoleon. All in all, it was a valuable and extremely fun experience that had augmented all that I've learned at the academy, and I would highly recommend any student to go to any industry experience they were offered."

"I can not thank the academy enough for the most amazing experience and knowledge building day I had while assisting at the David Jones event. The opportunity I was given was a once in a lifetime chance and I am so grateful that I was offered the chance for the amazing experience. Not only learning so much through the certificate, and the amazing teachers at the academy having the chance to work with and assist one of the Napoleon Creative Team was such a learning experience. I got to work alongside Jo, who not only was a great person and very encouraging, I gained so much by watching her and seeing how she works. Being able to meet Napoleon himself was a total thrill, and something I will remember and appreciate forever. I thank the academy for this opportunity and know that it has only helped me grow in my quest to be a great makeup artist. I look forward to hopefully being offered more in the future and developing my career as a makeup artist."

It was such an honor being apart of the team that day assisting the national makeup artist's and meeting the maestro himself 'Napoleon Perdis'. "I had Such a great experience assisting at Napoleon Perdis personal appearance at David Jones. I had just finished my Cert 3 weeks prior to getting the call to ask if i was free to help out and that it was for one of Napoleon's personal appearances he was making while in Australia. It was amazing to meet the Man behind it all, I thought it would be years before I would have that opportunity. Everyone involved were so lovely and made me feel very welcome. The atmosphere was amazing.I loved meeting the Napoleon Creative team and getting to help along side them was such a great experience and i learnt a lot."

It was great being a part of such a wonderful team and in a fun and high energy environment, as well as seeing and learning about all the preparation that goes into these events. Having the opportunity to meet the man himself was very inspiring, Napoleon exudes such class and glamour, and it has definitely served as a driving force for me to pursue my career in makeup.
